The World Biggest Cheatings 2

It is said that the Rohingya crisis is certainly a big problem for our country. According to historical backgrounds, this is not just a regional problem of the Arakan State, but a national problem should not be forgotten.

Who did create the problem?

I have blamed the immigration department since I heard that in Buthi Tong and Maung Taw 90% of the locals is Bengalis, 7% is Arakanese and 3% is other ethnicities. Only after looking the historical facts, I realized that it is not right to blame the immigration department alone for such issue.

In the earlier colonial era, Arakan State has fallen under the control of British and was combined with Bengal State.

In 1839, the British government announced an agricultural extension, as a result Bengalis from SistaGung and Suyatis from Madayat entered to Arakan State as workers, described in historical documentations.

Before the World War II, Muslims from India asked to create the eastern Bengali State and western parts of India as Pakistan. According to a magazine published at the time around 1959-60, the act of requesting was obvious that the Bengalis tried to get their own country by working together with Pakistan. In respond, the British government said that was a wrong thing and suggested them the right things to do. And they followed the suggestions.

According to Series 10/1, Acc No.641, NAD, Maung Taw and Buthi Tong were asked to be included in eastern Pakistan in the report from May 15, 1947. Again in the under the governance of Anti-Fascist People's Freedom League, Mujahit Party sent a request document, asking to give them nationality status, to regard them as Arakanese-Muslims and as an ethnicity, to have the right to hold their own armed group, and to allow them to involve in government. The demands caused debates in Second Parliament Conference.

To win the election the Anti-Fascist People's Freedom League cooperated with the head of State Department U Amaung (aka) Adu Ladit and allowed the entering of Bengalis into the country. Also in Buthi Tong Township, the region chair-person of Anti-Fascist People's Freedom League Abu Khine and regional immigration offices issued them national identity cards.

That was a big mistake the government has done to the country, stated the report of 0H/p/0360/2009. In the historical review of the Anti-Fascist People's Freedom League, Muslims were granted to access into Parliament and some of them also became the heads in some Ministries.

After General Ne Win came to power, he rejected their requests and reduced their nationality status. In respond, the Bengalis from Arakan State reported they were Arakanese-Muslims. In Maung Taw Township historical reviews, the report was written former Parliament Member Gaphar. He held a press conference in 1960, quoting Rohingya ethnicity and Rohingya language.

Naga Min Mission

According to historical documents, Naga Min Mission was enforced to drive illegal immigrants out of the country. The mission started in Northern Arakan State so most of the Bengalis fled into the neighboring Bangladesh. The exiled Rohingya stated that the government was killing them as an attempt to wipe them out of the country. Those stories were described in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysian newspapers and also in western newspapers.

Bengalis number around 15,000 fled to Bangladesh in 1975 and in 1978, the number was 200,000. In the country the missions were known as ones to defeat Bengali uprisings. However, Myanmar government and military were discredited by the international communities.

After the intervention of UNHCR, the government had to accept them back in the country and they settled in Arakan State.

Acts of terror committed by Rohingya before 88 uprising

The Bengalis took May 13 as the day to defeat Arakanese and in May 13, 1988, at 9 p.m. they started to attack Arakanese and burnt Myothit Monastery. Polices had to defense the public. During the unrests, their leader Dr. Htun Aung (Adu Laut) and a Bengali lawyer Shwe Maung stated Bengalis were Roingya and they were in Myanmar since 680 A.D. and they should the same rights as Arakanese and they have the right to have their own autonomy and state. That was written in Rohingya Bengali uprising page 146.

The movements of Rohingya after 1988

There were also missions to drive Rohingya in 1989, ’91 and ’92. Most of them fled into neighboring country but later returned after the interventions of UNHCR and international communities. Since then they asked to regard them as an ethnicity.

In 2003, Myanmar Rohingya Association (Japan) published a “Union of Myanmar and Rohingya Ethnic Minorities”. The book was sold in many countries and there were literature talks stating that Rohingya exit.

The international community accepted the idea and forced Myanmar to accept them. Given that, one can easily understand the current unrests between Rohingya and Arakanese.

‘There are no Rohingya in our place, only Arakanese, Myo, Kami, Kaman, Thet, Dynat and Mayamar Kyi. They are the seven diversities of Arakanese ethnicity. Rohingya are just illegal immigrants from the neighboring country.
Both American embassy and government need to know it. It is in fact an attempt to bring unrests into Myanmar and cause religious riots to say that Bengalis are one of our ethnicity.Although they sneaked into our country, we did not refuse them and lived with them peacefully. They got freedom of religious. But please do not make an attempt to regard them as one of our ethnicity. Most of the houses burnt are Arakanese properties. But it is described in Medias that Bengalis were being tortured.Arakanese died and Bengalis moved to the place. Now they claimed it is their land. However, we could do nothing to prevent it but the world has to know the truth.’ said U Aye Thar Aung of Arakanese League for Democracy.

For the current government, it’s a problem that should be solved with great care, taking the lessons from Gen. Ne Win’s acts and the uprising from May 13, 1988.

As for me, I suppose this is a national problem. A problem that test our acts of protecting our country.

The World Biggest Cheating 1

At the same time, another group of Rohingya advocates, Rohingya Blogger, which is founded by U Ba Sein, an ex-politician from Buthidaung, Maungtaw of Arakan State has been spreading fabricating tales on how the government of Myanmar has oppressed the Rohingya over the years.

For the past two year, Tun Khin, the President of BROUK (Burmese Rohingya Organization UK) has been staging protests to raise concern for the Rohingya. He did so by the assistance of BCUK (Burma Campaign UK). The majority of Myanmar netizens have distrust in the ethic of BCUK and BBC.

U Ba Sein of Rohingya Blogger and Tun Khin of BROUK have close contact with Nurul Islam from ARNO. This explains why the two groups are manipulated by ARNO and are very much desperate to promote Rohingya even by despicable methods. The photos of their meeting some time ago is attached with this article as well. On 10 June 2012, U Ba Sein posted a photo of some Bengalis rescued by some Indonesia navy in 2009 and mentioned that they are Rohingyas killed by the Rakkhine recently. The men in the photos are actually just lying down with no blood on their bodies nor cut wounds. In another incident, a Rohingya advocate media group, Kaladan Press, has published a deceptive article on how Rohingyas are killed using the photo of the deceased during 2011's bomb blast in Myawaddy, southern Myanmar. The same piece of news is published in a Bangladesh newspaper using the very same wrong photo of last year's bomb blast incident.
Won Thar Nu

Since 8 June 2012, thousands of homes have been torched and a massacred took place during the deadly sectarian violence in Arakan State, Myanmar. The attackers are illegal immigrants, namely Rohingyas who claim themselves as an ethnic group of the nation.

The number of casualties has been rising despite the declaration of a state emergency and a strict curfew being imposed. News of the sectarian violence hit the headlines of the international press and photos of Rohingyas flooded everywhere.

I am very disappointed with what I have been seeing and hearing what the international media channels are reporting on the Rohingya attack. They are totally blinded, siding with the Rohingya attackers, and distorting the fact that the Rakkhines are the real victims. The happenings are not as what they have been broadcasted. It is not a religious riot. It is not the attack of the majority Rakkhine to the minority Rohingya. It is, in fact, an invasion; to be precise, Rohingya invasion into Arakan land.

According to some of the reporters from the local media groups who actually are at the scene of violence, the Rohingyas are committing a massacred and torching the Buddhist and Hindu temples as well as the houses of the residents Rakkhine. They are also weaponed with RPGs and guns while the villagers are holding only kitchen knives and slender bamboo sticks with sharpened edges to defend.

What caused all the chaos in the Arakan State? Well, it all started when a native Buddhist girl was brutally raped and murdered by three Muslims on May 28. The rapists recorded the whole process of crime on a mp4 player and spread it among other illegal immigrants. This incident is followed by a killing of ten Muslims on Jun 3 where some Rakhines allegedly dragged them out and killed them. Little did the world media know about the deceased here is that these men were involved in the rape and murder case of the Buddhist girl and they were there to offer monetary reward to the families of the rapist which is why the local Rakhines were furious. During confrontation, they also threw sarcasm and vulgarity at the locals.

Most of the Myanmar netizens know what is really going on in Arakan State but the world does not. I would firmly say that Myanmar has been sabotaged by a group of strongly-funded Rohingya advocates and some foreign-based Myanmar media groups who have agreed to side with Rohingyas and promote them in return for monetary gain.

In 2008, photos of the Chairman of a media group DVB (Democratic Voice of Burma), meeting with Nurul Islam, the President of ARNO (Arkan Rohingya National Organization), were made public by their immediate circle. ARNO is reported connecting with Al Qaeda and funded by Arab nations. Since last year, the government of Bangladesh has reportedly told the members of ARNO to leave the country to maintain law and order in the area and yet, there are eight ARNO bases on Bangladesh land. Since their meeting, DVB has been promoting Rohingyas and voicing out for them. Shortly after, Han Yawng Hwe, the Chairman of DVB, was accused of taking bribe from ARNO for the service DVB has rendered for the Rohingyas.

The international media groups have been unfair to Myanmar and to the Rakkhine victims of the Rohingya attack. It is obvious that the Rohingyas are the attackers. Why would the majority Rakkhine leave their homes, and get their properties torched if they were the attackers? I strongly feel indignant by how the photos of artifice are flooding the world media. I am miffed by how the photos of what is really happening in Arakan State are published nowhere on the world media channels.

I would like to ask the international entities who speak up for Rohingyas. Who would speak up for the Rakkhines whose homes were ablazed? Who would seek justice for the Rakkhines who were brutally murdered by the Rohingyas during the Arakan massacred? You suggested the government of Myanmar of accept the Rohingyas. Were you there when the Rohingyas raped our women? Were you there when they splashed kerosene at our homes and burnt them down? Were you there when they brutally murder our people? Please do not be fooled the Rohingya proganda set up the group of despicable media groups. Get up and set your foot on our Arakan land. Hear our cries. Feel our sorrow. Touch our tears. Touch our blood. See the carcasses. See the faces. It is for real. None of these are fabricated nor manipulated. The victims are the Rakkhines, the innocent villagers who were killed by the Rohingya terrorists. Why did Rohingyas kill the villagers? The answer is simple. It is because Rohingyas are not one of us, not one of the ethnic group of Myanmar. In fact, they are terrorists!

Who Are They? They Are Not Myanmar.

On international medias, news about riots in Arakan State have been described as sectarian conflicts between Buddhists and Muslims. In fact, it is not as simple as those reporters described. Nor just racial conflict as well.
So, in order to trace the culprit behind these riots, we need to know relevant historical background for certain reference.

Today, what we called Rohingyas are originally Chittagonian Benglis who are decedents of Bengalis from Chittagong in Bangladesh. After British occupation in Burma, they migrated to Arakan state in Burma to be employed on farms. After every season, they usually go back to their home. During second world war, following Japanese Invasion into Burma, British troops armed Bengali to support them in case of resisting aggressive Japanese troops. After that, such armed forces were like death penalty for local landlords, Arakanese. Bengali forces brutalized and massacred over 2000 of Arakanese and nearly 300 of villages were completely burned down. British military officers tried to settle down every situation. This was the first riot between Arakanese and Bengali, which left massive casualties on Arakanese side.Such conflicts have grown as a result of 1839 land law which allowed thousands of Indian decedent immigrants to stream into Burma, some of them to Rangoon and some through Burma-India (now Bangladesh) border.

From that moment, civil clash started to occur and is still unlikely to end peacefully. After independence from Britain, central control of Burmese Government was challenged by ethnic rebellions who also gave way for armed Bengali troops named as Mujaheeden rebellions to claim Maung Daw and Bu Theedaung districts in Arakan state as their own Islamic state. In 1978 Burmese military cracked down Mujahedeen rebellions making them flee towards Bangladesh. During SPDC period, at least three times of systematic crack down were accomplished  by Burmese military junta which had created serious condemnation from UN and other Islamic countries. In 1992, probably due to pressures from Islamic countries of ASEAN, Burma has accepted 230000 of rohingyas in Arakan state.

Bengali Muslims have very different social, cultural and religious believes compared to local Arakanese. They are Muslims and such religious difference may have raised pre-existing tensions amongst local ethnic groups. Traditionally, Arakan state have Muslim ethnic so called Kamans whom have been acknowledged by Burmese government although they are comparatively a minority group. Interestingly, such Muslim Kamans and Arakanese did not have big racial or religious conflicts. Similarly, there are also some Muslims living in Arakan state and they don't seem to have problems with original residents.

After 1942 massacre of Arakanese, tensions have raised uncontrollably and intention to claim the own state has created strong suspects on Rohingyas. Neither of any ethnic group in Burma shows willingness to accept rohingyas because ethnic law prescribed in 1947 constitution of Burma has clearly stated that ethnic tribes living in Burma before A.D 1823 can only be listed as ethnic tribes of Burma. This law has been agreed by all ethnic leaders in Burma and was not denied by even Muslim leaders like U Razak and U Pe Tin.

Such suspects and long term social conflicts of very different social and cultural norms have already led to a nearly erupted problem. Arakanese may view Rohingyas as invaders who are destroying their tradition and religion because in every riots religious places are always targeted and destroyed. And even though there are other bordering areas in Burma with countries like China and Thailand, such conflict can be seen but only in Western Burma where Rohingyas are residing. So this unhealed social wound has spread among local communities for decades.

Meanwhile, UNHCR and international NGOs recognize rohingyas as refugees and they provide food, medicine and shelter for rohingyas. And such organizations pressure on Burmese government to accept them as an ethnic minority. But Burmese government has denied both proposals because they are not historically an ethnic group of Burma and can create a number of conflicts in politically unstable Burma. In such situations, neglected people are the true owners of this land, Arakanese. They are not fully protected by Burmese military junta as they showed strong patriotism on their ethnicity and a rebellion armed force was formed in post independence period. UNHCR and other iNGOs are only for rohingyas which is why the gap between the lack of Burmese government care and NGOs have made Arakanese more vulnerable to every social problems.

Border Security Forces of Burma are highly notorious for corruption which make way for rich Bengali to enter central Burma and in turn those Bengali can pave another routes with their money. Here is the dilemma. How can refugees be such rich? Some local resources reported that those aids are provided by international Islamic organizations to promote Islam in Burma. Bribery and corruption of security forces and immigration staff make geographically sensitive area Maung Daw to be dominated by Rohingya Bengalis.

The sense of land loss, ignorance by government, poverty, loss of traditional pride and massacre in history have created socially negative views in Arakanese mind on Bengali people. Fear from extinction of Arakanese has intensify their family sense. Desire to sacrifice for tradition and religion seem to boost their motivation to defend their communities from aggressive rohingyas. Although some may claim that Rohingyas are minorities, they are now majorities in Arakan state and all Arakanese are at risk of being bullied in many ways.

These social factors have been largely ignored by Burmese Junta and other Burmese politicians due to unstable local politics. Once erupted, we can see as riots which are now being described as sectarian conflicts. In fact, it is not completely true. This is a long lasting civil conflict rooted from difference in social, cultural and religious believes. Arakanese people have honorable long history of their monarchy and kingdom two thousand years ago. They truly believe that they are belonged to this land. Bengalis are just immigrants with aggressive behaviors.

Such social conflicts must be viewed closely. Otherwise, giving too much superficial comments will make situation worse.

They Are Not Myanmar,Do You Know About That Maung Zarni?

Dear Maung Zarni,

I would not like spending my time on writing or responding to Myanmar people and Bengali concern so-called Rohingya’s issue. I feel like I am being fooled by those Bengali Muslim who call themselves Rohingya as the name that they made up has never appeared and never found in the Arakan or world history before Burma's independence. Many historians and record books that based on Arakan history have already pointed out that there were very little Muslims living in  Maung-Daw and Bothidaung district around 1960, just 20 years before I was born. I was born in Pa-Ne-Chaung Island, 40 minutes drive by boat from Site-Tway, the capital city of Arakan or Rakhine state, Myanmar and have never heard the name so-called Rohingya through my time in Arakan. We do have some Muslim villages in my island and I have so many good Muslim friends as well. However, they have never mentioned that they were Rohingyas who settled Arakan thousands years ago or a shipwrecked Arab trader as so called-Roingya claimed. However, they simply admit or being proud to be Bengali Muslims and we have been living there together for many years peacefully.

As I have mentioned in some comments before, the issue that so-called Rohingya brought to us today is not about creating peaceful community in Arakan and Myanmar or neither human rights issue but simply having an intention to establish Islamic state in Myanmar. My dear Maung Zarni, your accusation of Arakanese being racist is not acceptable and simply insulting not only Arakanse but people of the whole Myanmar.  It seems to me that you have a strong wish for so-called Rohingya to be recognized as one of Myanmar ethics but you do not seem to be ware of the point that Arakanese and Burmese people are making. You should realize that not just those Bengali are being oppressed or poor in Arakan and denied basic human right but vast majority of other native people such as Mro, Khami, Thet, Dainak, chaung thar, Marama and so on are facing the same problem. You might be aware that Arakan is the second poorest state in Myanmar. Our new Mr.Thein Sein government is trying their best but has just a little impact on the situation. There are on going land confiscation and unemployment and no potential plans that would create jobs for coming young generations in Arakan. Many Arakanese are leaving their land in order to find good life, to support their poor families and becoming slaves of Singapore, Thai and Malaysia. I wonder why this so-called Rohingya, mutual and educated Bengalis are not making a single point of it if they love Arakan or do they just think so-called Rohingya are the only human beings who live in Arakan? This is very funny attitude of these immigrant Bengalis, attempting to discriminate Arakanese, the owner of Arakan. Thompon(2001) has said that beliefs and values are a basic part of racism; that is, racism is an ideology. I, therefore, would like to encourage you to learn to see who the racists are.

Dear Maung Zarni, you might have heard of that a group of Muslim risked their life and crossed the sea to find good life in other countries some years ago but was being arrested by Thai polices. We, Arakanese, were deeply concerned by Thai police’s behavior because they pushed them back to the sea. However, what made me really sad was so-called Rohingya appeared suddenly and took advantage of people in need. They sealed them as Rohingya and took international attention on human right issue. In addition, this is a slap by so-called Rohingyas to Bengali Muslims and taking advantages of Myanmar people as Myanmar is struggling for instability of politic.

I, therefore, strongly condemn those Bengali who lived outside Myanmar and keep fooling international communities with their fake and false of history of Arakan for their racism. Arakan and his people were civilized more than 5000 years and was a blessed and peaceful country. Buddha, himself, came to Arakan and world first Mahamuni image was casted by the requested of our king Sanda-Thuriya.

“The great outstanding feature in the history of Arakan is the account of Buddha's sojourn in this country and of his supervision over the casting of his image. The story of his seven day's visit with five hundred Rahandas--- his lengthly discourse pregnant with prophesy delivered on the top of the hill opposite the town of Kyauktaw-- His Journey into the city of Dynnyawaddi at the request of King Sanda Thurya--- the casting of the image by men and gods, have been very clearly set fourth by the able researches of the late Dr. Forchammer and need hardly be mentioned again in the present sketch. The Mahamuni tradition is the oldest of the kind we have. It permeates the whole religious history of Arakan and the images that at present sanctify a thousand temples and pagodas in this country are the replicas of the first great and only faithful copy of the Master.” “                                                                                                                                                                      (J.B.R.S Vol. 6, Part3. 1916)

Racism has never practiced in Arakan. You can look at our Arakanese history of Mrauk-Oo, the forth dynasty of Arakan kingdom  from the time king Saw Mwan who built the city in 1430 A.D to the last king Tha-Ma-Da-Rar-Zar arrested by Burmese king Bodaw U Wine in AD1784. There were many foreigners who served for Mrauk-Oo golden place such as Portuguese, Kaman, Bengalis, Siamese and so on. Some of our kings even hired Samurais to protect them from assassination. Furthermore, you may see there are many Mosques ( Muslims’ temple) in Site-Twe, Arakan and doing their regular prayer every days using loud speakers. We, Arakanese, never complained about their religious activities even though these are on going ear-disturbing for the people who do not believe in Islam. Therefore, your accusation of both Burmese and Arakanese being racist is rootless.

My dear Maung Zarni, I respect your attitude of anti-racism and we need to discourage those who misguiding to treat human in a undignified way. However, I would to add that you are simply missing the point. We are defending ourselves and protecting our country from intruders so-called Rohingya who have been insulting our history and using our Muslims’ brothers for their evil intention of establishing an Islamic state in Myanmar. This is not simply a human right issue and we are not encouraging racism in our country but this is responsibility of each and all communities in Burma to do in order to avoid from having potential bleeding ground in near future. I, therefore, would like to ask international communities, Maung Zarni and our Muslim brothers and sisters to participate with the process of terminating the word Rohingya from our world.

Rohingyas are illegal immigrants from Bangladesh into Rakhine State and self-claimed as one of Myanmar Ethnics. Now they attack on natives and threatening Myanmar's Governance in the area, they want Rohingya Islamist Territory. Our native ethnic people (Arakanese) have to run for lives from Rohingya Terrorists' attack and insecure now, begin in own land and being threatened by Rohingyas. This is not Religion conflict. This is not Human Right violations.THIS IS TERRORISTS' INVASION TO MYANMAR.

They Are Terrorize 3

On 8 June 2012, a tragedy struck the Arankan State of Myanmar. The native Arankanese civilians were severely attacked by Rohingya terrorists, who are the illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. It was a well-organized attacked by a Muslim insurgent group called Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO). RSO was formed in 1982 by the remaining Mujahideens who were defeated by the Burmese Army in 1978's Dragon King Operations.
Over the past decade, RSO has developed connections with similar Muslim extremist organizations in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Their aim is to create an autonomous state on Arakan land uniting the existing illegal Rohingya immigrants in Arankan State and Rohingyas from Bangladesh. Over the years, RSO gains their finances through criminal activities such as smuggling of guns and drugs between Bangladesh and Arakan State. They also receive massive funds from charities from Islamic organizations from middle east nations.

During 1990s, with the help of an extreme Sunni Muslim Organization HuJI, RSO managed to connect to Al Qaeda. Soon, thousands of RSO members were sent to Libya to attend terrorist training courses arranged by Al Qaeda. They even served in Al Qaeda army as porters and mine clearance specialists.

In 2001, the authorities from the United States seized several videotapes and records from an Al Qaeda base in Afghanistan. One of the records showed that the RSO of Burma is listed as the followers of Al Qaeda. A tape which showed a group of RSO participating in the Al Qaeda's operations was found as well. According to their findings, the US academic claimed that the largest Al Qaeda cell in South-East Asia is supposed to somewhere near Myanmar-Bangladesh border. They also expected that the number of RSO terrorists would grow.

With strong funding from Arab nations, Rohingya advocates have successfully bribed exile medias of Myanmar and have them fabricated pathetic tales about how the Myanmar Government violated human rights on Rohingyas. Evidently, photographs of Han Yaung Wai, the Chairman of Democratic Voice of Burma, were released. In the photographs, he was seen signing a suspiciously Rohingya-promotion-agreement with some Arabs.

Due to the massive population growth of Bangladesh, it is obvious that the Rohingya aka the Bengali of Bangladesh native have been eyeing the neighboring Arankan land. Over the years, with the help of corrupted immigration officers, they have managed to infiltrate into the Arankan State. It was once reported locally that an average of 800 Rohingyas are sneaking into the country a day. These illegal immigrants bring more harm than benefits to the country by committing gang rapes, smuggling of firearms and drugs, conducting racial attacks especially on the Arankan land. However, due to the weak channelling of local medias, none of the incidents nor the crimes committed by them were made known to the international entities. The truth about Rohingyas which very few people know is that Rohingyas are not just stateless refugees. They are terrorists who try to invade the Arankan State of Myanmar.

Dozens of Rakhine people were killed amidst the Rohingya terrorist attacks in border town of Maungdaw in Rakhine State, the western part of Myanmar on Friday.

Due to the violence, hundreds of houses and buildings were burnt down by mobs.

The death toll in the incident has reached 20 to 30 until the night of 8 June and the injured persons nearby villages of Maundaw Township have been taken to Maungdaw hospital.

The onset of the violence on 8 June was that the Rohingya Muslims who returned from the mosque yesterday afternoon started throwing the stones to the Rakhine houses and buildings in Maungdaw Township, according to the Eleven Media reporter whose house was also blazed amidst the violence.

As the riots could not be controlled, the police forces took security measures in the town where Muslims are majority and Rakhine people are minority. Rohingya mobs were setting fire on the nearby villages of Rakhine ethnics, said a Buddhist monk who resides in Maungdaw Township.

Due to these unrests, the State-owned media aired the announcement of Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Curfew) which states people are not to go outside between 18:00 pm and 06:00 am in Maungdaw and Buthedaung townships.

In contrary to the reporting of foreign media, the army did not fire at the mobs, but just warning shots to the riot to help the security measures of police forces, according to the EMG reporter in Maundaw Township where the clashes are happening.

Highly prominent journalist Dr. Than Htut Aung, Chairman and CEO of the Eleven Media Group said, “Up to now, the handling of army in this violence is smooth and flexible.  It was reportedly known that the military fired only the warning shots. Although the case seemed to be the problem between the Muslims and the Buddhists, there may be some incitements behind the incident.”

As the Rohingya mobs are approaching to enter the town and nearby villages, the security forces are taking places there and conducting warning fires to them.

“The situations in Maungdaw Township are very serious. The problem should be solved by legal procedures. We do not accept anarchic actions. Security forces concerned should settle the problem systematically. We must control the situation not to spread. If the problem becomes bigger, it is possible to result in series of cases. I warned the possibility of problems in Maungdaw after the case of Sittway. These attacks would seriously threaten to Arakanese people not only in Buthidaung and Maungdaw townships, but also in some areas with minority of them. The government has responsibilities to calm down the worries of these people. In the future, the security of border area in Rakhine State should be taken by Rakhine people, and that of Shan State by Shan people. Paramilitary forces should be organized to safeguard the security of respective areas. The government should allow more security plans. We will also submit these plans to the parliament. If this incident is similar to massacre of 1942 which was intentionally plotted, the persons behind the curtain are responsible for the consequences. Security persons, international figures and religious leaders should not neglect the case. They should cooperate in solving this problem,” said Chairman Dr. Aye Maung of the Rakhine Ethnics Development Party.
